I needed a safe and secure place to store some important email data. I had a single LTO3 backup tape that contained over 150 users email databases. I wanted to restore to an external drive, but I needed the security of RAID 1 mirroring for that extra safety net. This drive was a breeze to setup. I attached it first to my XP workstation and later to a Windows 2003 Server - no issues with either. My only caution is that out-of-the-box it is configured RAID 0.
