When I choose the Kindle Dx I was confronted with several buyer and reviewer complaints. When I had one in my hands I realized
that most of these complaints were either exaggerated or made up.
First of all-the Kindle Dx is a light-weight, easy to hold, very functional reader's tablet.
The print is sharp and clear. The controls are well placed.
Accessibility to books is simple.
Storage of books is mind-boggling. Something like 1 million pages.
Ability to transfer almost every personal document created on your computer directly through the USB port is amazing.
As for the quirky landscape from portrait mode, the organization of texts, the fragility of the screen,
these are problematical, but improvable.
They are workable enough to be used or protected by simple steps.
Don't sweat these minor flaws-when the Dx breaks new ground as an e-reader.
As for the price: it could be lower, and it may drop-but given what you get it is still worth it.
