These covers are very nice. Made of a heavy resin (sorta like fiberglass but heavier), and they look just like a set of real books. When you get closer you realize the front is perforated so that the speaker sound can come through. And as the other reviewers stated, these are designed specifically to fit the AR Home Decor satellite speakers. The cut out is an oval shape so it is difficult to fit ordinary rectangular speakers into them. I did buy the matching speakers, and they look and sound great.
